How does it all work together? Food is the fuel for your body and your brain. The body is the vessel we bring with us on a daily basis; it is a direct reflection of how we think and what we consume. Our mind is where it all comes full circle (this is the the hardest part to train, the most challenging to overcome, but the most liberating when mastered).
Working with a personalized plan to target all three areas is the fastest and most effective route to lasting change. Keep reading to learn more about my signature approach to nutrition, fitness, and mindset.
As a health coach I will teach you how to craft your own meal plan. I will teach you the steps necessary to go from counting macros to intuitive eating. Learning the “How To” of crafting your own diet puts you back in control, it eases your anxiety around food and your body and will empower you for a lifetime. Together we will craft a meal plan to suit your tastes, lifestyle and as it relates to your current goals. No cookie cutter meal plans here. You also will not be abandoned, you'll have access to me to ask questions about adaptation, substitution, convenience, timing, prepping, shopping, etc.
After a basic assessment and goal strategizing session I’ll get to work on creating a fitness program that will help you reach your goals. In addition to strength training you’ll learn proper breathing techniques to help improve athletic ability and recovery. Movement patterns to help optimize your mobility, helping recover from injury and prevent future ones. And yoga poses to practice breathing, body awareness, relieve sore muscles and self acceptance.
Change for the better begins when change is less scary than staying the same. Ask yourself who will I be after I make these changes? Does the answer scare or excite you? Changing your lifestyle can be scary! Getting in the right mindset will prepare you to navigate your feelings when stuck in the mud and unsure of yourself. Mindset coaching will help break down the steps to achieve your desired lifestyle changes. You'll feel armed and ready to move forward. You'll learn how to fight negative thinking. Sometimes we want to give up, we convince ourselves that we aren’t capable of change, that our lifestyles are not accommodating enough, that we have no discipline, we can even think that we’ll fail (again). Together we can work through these roadblocks though mindset exercises that include journal prompts, check in calls, goal setting exercises and meditations.
